Compliance audits involve examinations to assure compliance with grants, programs, contracts and other matters.  Many governmental funders require compliance audits of some sort.  Many times, compliance audits are grouped with financial statement audits.

Agreed upon procedures are for performing audit/examination techniques on an agreed upon basis.  They can be used for a specific account, or to agree hard copy data to online data and other such focused engagements.
